| Robert
Leung has been an artist all his life. From the age of 5, his father
taught him to paint and create the ceremonial masks used at
carnival in his native Trinidad. After many years of study, starting
at the H.S of Art & Design, Pratt Institute, Parsons and the School
of Visual Arts, he has created a unique style that combines some of
the native aspects of his Carribean culture and a sophisticated symbolism
born of contemporary alienation and the darker side of relationships.
Robert Leung's work is at once potent and primitive, cool and cerebral.
It seems an appropriate metaphor for love in the new millennium. We
invite you to be a part of it. |
